International Research & Development

AAS is committed to an ongoing Research & Development program to develop innovative products and applications that are user friendly, perform in veterinary applications (often equivalent to human neonatal applications), reduce morbidity, mortality and improve patient care. AAS has established a track record in product development, intellectual property protection and then successful manufacture and launch of these products to the veterinary market. Our aim is ‘to get it right’ locally to enable us to achieve success in the international market with proven devices whose performance and durability are well understood and competitive.

The Australian veterinary market provides AAS with a rigorous testing and proving ground. In some cases this has resulted in design or manufacturing modifications to improve performance or durability of existing products. We have had experience in Australia with products manufactured outside of Australia that don’t perform or fail altogether, and we understand the difficulties and economics of resolving these problems from distant locations.
